Following the successful introduction of the telemetry undershirts for swine, Lomir has created an undershirt that can be used on its own without the need for the outer mesh jacket. Popular applications include dermal/topical models, due to their simplicity in use and reduced manipulation of the animal. These swine undershirts are made using a robust, high performance, moisture-wicking fabric, as used in sport uniforms. Lomir also makes a plain spandex undershirt, to hold catheters and tubing, which can be worn under the mesh jacket.
Originally created for use with external telemetry systems, our swine undershirts are designed to be close-fitting and allow users to secure ECG leads, respiration bands, and other leads and catheters. The simplicity of the spandex and Velcro design facilitates the instrumentation of animals, minimizing restraint requirements and technician handling time, while also avoiding the need for extensive wrapping or bandaging. The telemetry device, transmitters etc are held in pockets on an outer protective jacket all leads and tubing are protected and contained inside the system.
In our 30 years of business, we have created and manufactured undershirts, jackets, and patterns for all types of swine, across various weight ranges. This depth of knowledge is enhanced by our collaboration with breeders of research swine who have assisted us in establishing a database of physical measurements and growth charts. This is where you can benefit from Lomir's experience and expertise.
As the manufacturer we maintain an extensive inventory of raw materials and finished jackets or accessories, such as pockets for equipment. This allows us to provide prompt and reliable lead-times.
Our stock undershirts may not meet your unique requirements. Lomir’s design group works in close collaboration with investigators to develop custom products. Contact us to learn more and to discuss your project.
