Features

Lomir's rodent sling is a versatile restraining device suitable for a wide range of species and applications. Its innovative design promotes animal well-being, which contributes to the quality of scientific results. The rodent sling frame can be combined with one of two options :

A one-size adjustable canvas and mesh cover. The design allows for animals to be quickly located in the sling and for easy adjustment and fit between individual animals.
A rat sling suit. Best described as a full body rat jacket with canvas “wings” or extensions attached at the dorsal portion of the jacket, through which the supports of the frame are passed. The suit provides a quick, secure fit and adjustment between individual animals. View the Sling Suit product page here.

Robust support: polypropylene base made with 1"" steel, for support that does not move.
Adjustable frame: stainless supports and connectors held with convenient thumb screws allow for height adjustments.
Cleaning: the frame is easily cleaned

Choice of sling suit or sling cover, for full-body restraint:
- Both allow for access to all limbs and the head and tail
- Both close with Velcro fasteners, allowing for a quick and secure restraint and an adjustable fit for individual animals.

Various species: other small animal species may also be restrained using the same frame with suits and slings available for mice and guinea pigs

Special Requirements? While our inventory of frames and slings will answer the needs of most customers, Lomir is fully equipped to fulfill orders requiring the fabrication of custom-made units for special situations or tasks.

We have been making slings and jackets since 1989 and, as a result, have built up an extensive database of measurements and patterns for the majority of animals that may be used in a laboratory environment.
